  • MS1290 Accuracy

    Hello All,

I am new to the board, but not new to woodworking or using Ridgid tools. I do have a question concerning the Ridgid MS1290 Miter Saw. The original before they sold out. I am noticing that after I spend time calibrating the saw for a 90 degree cut it still cuts part of the piece out of square. This also happens for other degree cuts. I have also replaced the blade with no avail. I have since been doing my miter cuts on my table saw. I have been thinking about getting rid of it cause of this problem, but wanted some other opinions to see if I am missing something before I do because its a nice powerful saw, but if its not able to be accurate its not worth having.

    Thanks,
    Jason

    I have the same problem

I have the same problem on my 12" scms. I am trying to figure out if it is something that can be fixed with adjusting or not. A Forest chopmaster blade didnt help. Just seems like a lot of play in the whole saw.
