    Hi,

Can anybody recommend a metal detector for finding nails and other bad things in reclaimed wood?

    Thanks,

That $11.99 looks like a good deal, since a new blade would be more, and a doctor bill even higher from one of those nails.

I have a Little Wizard also and it works great. They also make a larger one for about $80 that is more sensitive. That's too much for me. I experimented with driving small wire staples into 6/4 oak and the Little Wizard found it every time. In order to catch small pieces in thick wood you have to go slowly. I'm willing to do that rather than spending $80.
