  • Wire my new JP6101 and TS3650 for 240V?

I just bought the JP6101 and TS3650 for my garage workshop. I have to run new circuits to the garage anyway, and my question is whether it's worth the trouble to run a 240V circuit for these tools or would 120V and 20amp be just as good? Would there be a noticeable difference in performance?

    Thanks

There won't be any difference in performance IF the 120v circuit is delivering full power with minimal line losses. That said, I'd go 220v if you have to run the wire anyway.

I agree with hewood, you have many more options available to you down the road if you have 220V available.

        Schreibdave,
220v as the others have stated will be your best bet. With the twice the voltage, the motor will not have to work as hard. Plus, one day you might want to add a jointer or air compressor.
