    Features

    Does it offer auto start/stop with an outlet to plug your tool in to such as a sander ?

    Does it have variable speed like the Fein, Festool, and I believe Porter-Cable vac do?

    If not, why not and when.

    Hi Bob,
    The RV2400HF 14 Gallon does not offer these features at this time. The reason for this is based on Amp draw. This unit is powerful and pulls 11.5 Amp. Running a power tool through such a unit will throw most household, 15 amp breakers at this level, or diminish the performance of the vacuum based on the chosen tool. Given the main purpose of this vacuum was RRP, this did not seem to be the correct alternative.

    We will gladly take these proposed features under advisement for future vacuums.

      That's too bad. Festool figured out how to do it. They put a long, HD 10/3 cord rated for the vac plus a tool load.
      Not everyone works in their home and is limited by 15A breakers, so why limit your products to 15A, make a
      PROFESSIONAL vac and give us a choice other than the one we have now which is to buy from another
      manufacturer since you don't offer anything in your vacuum line that meets the professional users needs.

      I love my Festool CT36 vac. Yes not cheap but it has all the bells and whistles I need. I use it mainly with my
      Festool sanders but also with my 7-1/4" track saw.

        I Agree Bob, limiting a tool to 15 amps is silly. Job sites have 20 amp outlets, temp power in new houses is always 20 amp, all homes have 20 amp outlets, and commercial buildings are required to be 20 amp IIRC. Limiting a profession tool to 15 amps is downright stupid in my opinion.
