  • SeeSnake HQ v1.53.113 Public Release

    Hey guys,

Just wanted to drop a line and let you know that we have moved our newest public release (v1.53.113) into production. It should be released shortly. As usual, we strongly encourage all users to update to this version as soon as possible, as it provides features and fixes that should greatly improve user interaction and overall functionality.

Here is a list of the major changes to expect:
    • DVD burn hotfix supports the following languages: English, German, French, Dutch, Spanish, Russian, Norwegian, Swedish, Italian, and Danish.
    • Fixes to properly handle unselected media records imported from CS1000.
    • Fixes to avoid CS1000 Jobs from being able to be imported only one time.
    • Problem fixed in which updater was marked by UAC on Windows 7 as an application that requires permission to run.
    • Contacts windows have been vastly improved.
    • Startup time has been greatly reduced.
    • Added default camera type selection to Video Settings, changes default camera type for LT1000 (PAL/NTSC).
    • Right-click context menu to rename Jobs and Sessions.
    • French and Spanish translations are now included.
    • New, nicer-looking DVD art for backgrounds and intro screens.
    • Jobspaces can be created on external media. HQ has the smarts to know when these Jobspaces are connected and when they are offline. HQ also remembers the Job information from offline Jobspaces and allows it to be searchable, even when the external media is disconnected.
    • Improved video file recording under low-powered systems.
    • New video troubleshooter for diagnosing and fixing problems with the LT1000 and video playback on your computer.
    • New Job merging/splitting functionality.
    • Job Search control to search within jobs for specific data.
    • Added functionality to get jobs from CS1000 devices via USB
      • *Unavailable if no CS1000 driver is present
We're always looking to improve our product, so please feel free to provide feedback. Good or bad, it is always appreciated.

    Cheers,
    Eric

Re: SeeSnake HQ v1.53.113 Public Release

Quick question. When I went to make a DVD I had multiple inspections of a sewer line. I had a Before, after, another after and a final after inspection of the same line. I noticed I can add notes to each one in HQ. But when I burn the DVD it burns all 4 inspections into one video file.

So my question is there a way to set each inspection a chapter? This way the notes I made with each inspection shows up next to each chapter.

any way to edit the still pictures on the cs1000 once you save it and move on to another frame? or does it have to be put into hq and then edited?

i would like to deliver a finished and edited dvd or usb stick without going into hq.

What version is your CS1000 Firmware? I updated my firmware and I can edit the stills on the CS1000 now. You get the firmware update from the HQ software and save it on a thumb drive and just follow the instructions.

Ron is right on... if you upgrade your firmware you will be able to edit images and video after the fact.

within HQ go to Tools -> Device Manager -> CS1000 it will download the latest firmware to your thumbdrive (may take a little while since its a 100 meg download)

after it is transfered to the thumbdrive you turn your cs1000 on wait for it to boot up then plug in the thumbdrive and it will do the rest.

            Hey Ron,

In this situation, using "sessions" would provide you with the functionality you're looking for. Each video technically is a chapter as far as HQ is concerned… using next/previous on the DVD controls will go from video to video. However only one menu item exists per group of videos in a single session. So by splicing your inspections into separate sessions, you can create the video chapters you want. For each session there will be two menu items, first a picture slideshow, then the video(s). Then next session, slideshow then video, etc.

Referring to your previous Job, if you set up a Before session, After session, and Final session, then your DVD would have come out with the menu items: Before Pics, Before Vids, After Pics, After Vids, Final Pics, Final Vids.

            Hopefully that makes sense.

            Regards,
            Eric
