New on the site, just found it and logged in. I was an HVAC Mechanic in the Air Force for 10 years and now a Quality assurance inspector for the Corps of Engineers. Because of my background I was asked to become an instructor for Plumbing and Insulation.
Currently the course is given by the Enginners and it deals with Engineering view points and not the inspection of the job. I have a few good horror stories of failed insulation causing major damage to buildings (sheetrock, ceilings, wallets) does anybody else have anything that may assist me in teaching inspection/verification of mechanical insulation? First hand stories would be great and pictures would help even more.
Thanks in advance.
