yesterday i finally got a chance to use my new ridgid compound leverage wrench model s-2 2'' jaw capacity.
it was on a steam condensate return line that the 2'' black nipple was screwed into a weld-o-let.
first tried the trusted 18'' and 24'' with cheater
didn't want to tear off the whole drop assembly.
so i grabbed my compound wrench. tightened the chain style vice to the weld-o-let. slid the wrench onto th vice pin and applied some muscle to the 16'' handle.
guess what no hold back wrench required and i was able to muscle it loose
if you've never tried a compound wrench before, you don't know what you're missing.
they can be used for tightening too, but loosening is the ticket
