After buying the easycam because the city bought their own camera and provide this service for free I Turned down the loan to buy the Ridgid SeeSnake Because of this. I paid cash for the easycam no payments .
After few months of using this camera
This unit is holding up well. This is a good starter unit the push rod I was nervous about does well pushed about 125 feet no problems so far.
If your looking for a good intro unit this it the way to go. If your thinking about buying a South Coast Equipment camera don't waste your money. Had two both sucked and failed. SEC costs about the same And I believe if you use this camera to work up to a better camera the easycam can be sold or traded in where a SEC no one want's to buy used or take in trade.
When I have enough money to buy a SeeSnake in cash. I will keep this unit as a good back up if needed.
As of now I have no complaints about easycam.
Having an OK camera is far better than trying to save up for a better camera with no camera. I should have no problem saving up for a SeeSnake and buying a New SeeSnake while this unit is coverd under it's 2 year warrantee.
Now that my wife's hours were cut and pay dropped by $1.00 per hour and calls slowing down. I have no doubt in my mind if I took the loan on the SeeSnake it would get "Repossessed" and I'm not ashamed to admit that. It's just the times. But I think it was a good move and will help me get to my goal a new 200 foot SeeSnake.
