Planer table dings
A word of warning: Saturday I turned the blades on my newish (2 weeks) R4330 planer and apparently did not tighten one of the three blade covers sufficiently.:mad: It spit the blade out, shattered it, and marred the surface of the planing table enough to feel with the bare hand. It also warped the blade cover slightly. I intentionally did not overtighten the screws holding the blade cover because the factory had tightened some of them so much it took brute force to loosen. So get those screws down tight when swapping blades on your planer or face considerable down time while parts are ordered and repairs made.

Sorry to hear of your misfortune, but thanks for sharing the lesson, indeed registering here to do so.
