Lennox G61MPV Furnace Question
The furnace is 5 years old.
This year I noticed that the blower fan would not come on in the summer when I turned on the A/C. The condenser outside was on but the furnace fan wasn't. I turned the electrical switch for the furnace off and back on again (power comes from the electrical panel to this switch by the side of the furnace) and the furnace fan turned on and worked fine for the rest of the summer.
The A/C has been off since labor day. I replaced the batteries in the thermostat and turned the heat on a couple weeks ago. Seemed to work fine. Today the furnace wouldn't come on when it was supposed to. Thermostat was set properly : "auto" fan and heat "on". Turned the electrical switch by the furnace off and on again and the furnace started working.
Any idea what the problem might be? Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Re: Lennox G61MPV Furnace Question
May just need to replace the fan relay or control board. Double check the plug and wiring to the furnace. They can act fishy if the ground connection is not good.
