Propress compact smoking after every press
I've had a Rigid compact Propress that I've used for about 4-5 years now and until a week ago, all was good. I was installing a water filtration system with all 1" fittings and pipe when I noticed the tool smoking after every press. I wasn't sure if I was even going to get through this job, but did. I blow the dust out of the tool every now and then and keep it pretty clean. After this job, I opened the tool up and cleaned it all off and blew it out with compressed air. Today I used it again for a very small job and once again, it was smoking after every press. I'm wondering if there is something I can do and if others have had this problem.
Re: Propress compact smoking after every press
i would think you might have a small oil leak that is causing it to smoke. if it was the motor/ electric smoking, i would think it would be toast by now.
take it in for service as it's probably past due.
