Ridgid should design, build and produce an electric torque wrench/driver. Essentially, it consists of an electric motor that drives a torque multiplier sun/planetary gear box. The output of the gear box is a 1/2 inch square drive head. Rigid's electric impact wrench is okay and can produce 300 to 450 ft-lbs of torque but a continuous drive torque wrench can easily double, triple or even quadruple the torque that is applied to the ouput drive. The torque wrench will use a reaction bar to keep the torque multiplier from moving.
