I know someone posted thier table saw and insert but I don't remember where that was so I'm asking again. Sorry :(
I have a ts3650, I am very seriously thinking about adding a router table insert. my plan would NOT include removing one of the cast iron wings, but rather build a new insert that would just fill the void on the right side of where the rails extend past the cast iron wing.
Are these rails strong enough to support this? Is this a bad idea?
I had another idea which was to build a roller cart under the saw, get rid of the hydro-lift. The card would be long enough to support the saws legs as well as long enough to build a full fledged router cabinet which would fit snuggly between the rails. Obviously a lot more work.
m00n - I would definitely build some legs to support the RT. Not only is it alot of weight on the rails, but it might be enough to tip the whole saw.
